完成了香港SOTER数据库的建立,采用数字高程模型和其它基础图件,制图过程完全计算机化,使SOTER方法更适合于计算机技术的发展和应用,提高工作效率和精度;对SOTER在中大比例尺尺度上的应用进行了探索,完善其适用范围和理论体系;以香港作为研究区域,建设基于SOTER方法的土壤信息数据库,对于评价该区土壤、环境质量以及生态利用具有意义。

The spatial data of SOTER database in HongKong were established based on digital elevation model and other maps exclusively handled by using GIS software. This can make SOTER methodology more suitable with modern technology. The rules of SOTER methodology are discussed in the article, and some of them applied to regional level are brought forward, which contributes to establishment of a whole series of SOTER methodology for application both at global and national level and at regional level. The SOTER database of HongKong can provide detailed information for the evaluation of soil quality, environment quality and the sustainable landuse management in this region.
