Based on analysis of physical and chemical properties of the 6 Lou Soil profiles in Guanzhong Region, Shannxi Province, their diagnostic horizons, diagnostic characteristics and attribution in the Chinese Soil Taxonomy were determined. Solutions to the problems with the diagnostic index of the Cumulic epipedon and classification of the subgroup of the Eum-Orthric Anthrosols were probed.
