Abstract:Seed samples of three oil plants (peanut, soybean, sesame) and three crop plants (rice, wheat, maize) were collected from an agricultural product base, and residues of organochlorine pesticides in the samples were detected by GC-ECD. The results showed that the residues of organochlorine pesticides in the seeds were below the maximum residue limit (100 ng/g) set by WHO/FAO. The total DDTs ranges from 3.8 to 10.3 ng/g and was in a order as follows: peanut>sesame>soybean>maize>wheat>rice. The total HCHs ranges from 4.3 to 10.7 ng/g and was in a order as follows: peanut>maize>sesame>soybean>wheat>rice. The residues of total DDTs in three oil plants seeds were higher significantly than those in three crop plants seeds.
