This paper evaluated the cultivated land intensity of 17 cities in Anhui province from 1996 to 2005 and analyzed the features of the spatial-temporal in order to provide reference to cultivated land intensive use. The results indicated: 1) cultivated land utilization intensity was related to the investment degree, the utilizing intensity and benefit. It was prone to be influenced more by the benefit of cultivated land use, 2) cultivated land use intensity increased in most of cities from “Ninth Five Year Plan” period to “Tenth Five Year Plan” period, and the investment degree increased while the utilizing intensity and benefit decreased, 3) the spatial variance of the intensive use was remarkable, the investment degree reduced from south to north, while the utilizing intensity and benefit showed the opposite effects.
