Abstract:This paper, based on the regional statistical data of social economy and the detailed survey data of land use of two cities, i.e., Zhangzhou and Longyan, from year 1996 to 2005 and the methods of spatial analysis and statistical analysis, analyzed the differences of spatial-temporal characteristics and driving factors of the urban land changes in the two regions. Results showed that the structure of urban land changed fast in Zhangzhou than in Longyan. Change range and regional diversities of the two regions from 1996 to 2005 were obvious different.
