ISSCAS is not only the research center of soil science but also the training base for high-level talents in China. For celebrating the 60th anniversary of ISSCAS, here I reviewed all my activities happened including scientific researches, work achievements, academic exchanges, professional training and management work during the different development stages of ISSCAS, systematically sumed up my ??contributions to the development of national soil science and to the construction of national & international society and economy, and put forward four scientific insights from my own 60-year career in order to motivate my colleagues in ISSCAS to work hard for establishing the ideals and innovation beliefs in the future work & study basing on the current and looking to the future, for creating modern soil science, for innovating soil institute and for achieving of the great rejuvenation of China’s dream.
