Abstract:In this study, through the analysis and simulation of landscape process which influence the landscape ecological security of Caofeidian new area: hydrological, geological hazards and coastal protection, protection of biodiversity, cultural heritage and recreation, the minimum cumulative resistance model and weighted superposition method were used, and the landscape security pattern of single factor in high, medium and low level was constructed, then the extraction operation (V) was superimposed, in the end a comprehensive security pattern of Caofeidian new area in three security levels was formed. The results showed that the different security levels, low to high, of the ecological security pattern of land accounted for the total area of 14.15%, 42.19% and 25.02% in Caofeidian new area. The low level security pattern provided the most basic services for ecological system for the city development, which was the bottom line of city development and must be strictly protected. This study can provide a reference not only for Caofeidian international eco-city construction, but also for the sustainable development of China’s eastern coastal city.
