In view of agroforestry ecosystem problems in red soil hilly region of China, this paper analyzed the status, structure function and succession rule of structure in agroforestry system; proposed 5-grade classification system of red soil agroforestry systems; initially established framework of evaluation system about agroforestry system and evaluated the complex systems of typical counties and farmers. On this basis, some optimal control measures and the countermeasures were put forward for sustainable utilization of resources, and the further research on agroforestry systems in the area was also prospected.
