Comparison was studied between the factor method and the comparable plot method in grading agricultural land in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. Results showed that the two methods were found to give the same results in spite of differences in principle and calculating procedure. In addition, the comparable plot method was simple and practicable in comparison with the factor method, but the technology to set up a transregional index system was not yet mature.
