Abstract:By studying the characteristics of soil pollutants in 603 closed and relocated plots in the Yangtze River Delta region, this paper analyzed the site hydrogeological characteristics, pollution characteristics, industry characteristics, industrial utilization time, pollution degree and scope, and explored the soil pollution risks of the plots left over from different industries in the Yangtze River Delta region. The results showed that the industries of organic chemical raw material manufacturing, metal surface treatment and heat treatment and chemical pesticide manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta region were the industries that should be paid attention to in soil environmental management. Heavy metals and organic pollutants are the main pollutants in the legacy plots. Benzene series, chlorinated hydrocarbons, heavy metals mercury, arsenic, lead and nickel are the most frequent pollutants in the plots. There is an obvious relationship between the soil pollutants in the left plots and the types of industries and the time of industrial utilization. Benzene series, petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons all have different frequencies in the chemical industry. Heavy metal surface treatment and heat treatment industries and other battery manufacturing industries are the most frequent heavy metal chromium and lead.
