Abstract:Abstract : [ Objective ] The research aimed to clarify the soil fertility status of Yichang tea garden and provide theoretical basis for scientific fertilization and quality improvement of local tea industry. [ Method ] In this study, 10 nutrient indexes and 14 tea quality components of 55 tea garden soil samples from 5 main tea producing areas in Yichang City were determined, and the soil fertility comprehensive index ( IFI ) was calculated by fuzzy mathematics method. Combined with correlation analysis, the relationship between tea garden soil nutrients and tea quality indicators was studied. [ Results ] 1.Most of the tea garden soil in Yichang City had a good supply of basic nutrients, but the contents of available potassium, available copper and magnesium were insufficient to varying degrees. In some areas, the problem of soil acidification is more prominent due to long-term single application of chemical fertilizers. In view of the lack of fertility tea garden, it is recommended to increase the application of potassium fertilizer, targeted supplementation of magnesium, copper and other trace elements. The comprehensive evaluation index ( IFI ) of tea garden soil fertility in Yichang City ranged from 0.259 to 0.843, with an average value of 0.550 ; among them, 10.91 % of the samples were at the higher level of grade I ( IFI []≥ 0.75 ), 54.55 % were at the higher level of grade II ( 0.5 ≤ IFI < 0.75 ), 34.55 % were at the middle level of grade III ( 0.25 ≤ IFI < 0.5 ), and there were no low level samples of grade IV ( IFI < 0.25 ). 65.46 % of the tea garden soil fertility in the city reached a higher level or above. The spatial difference of soil fertility level in tea garden was significant, and the comprehensive index of soil fertility in each county was ranked from large to small as follows : Xingshan County ( 0.645 ) > Yiling District ( 0.591 ) > Wufeng County ( 0.518 ) > Yidu City ( 0.493 ) > Zigui County ( 0.485 ) ; among them, Xingshan County, Yiling District and Wufeng County are at a high level of grade II as a whole, and Yidu City and Zigui County are at a medium level of grade III.
