The nylon bag method was used to study the dynamic effects of the eight tropical leguminous green manure applications on the pH value of latosol. The results showed that pH increased after green manure application and the best effect of decreasing soil acidity all appeared in the initial two months after the application of green manures. The higher ash alkalinity content, the better to decrease the soil acidity, NH4+-N content and soil pH changed in the similar tendency.
