Abstract:Development of selenium-enriched indica rice has significant economic benefit. To study the selenium ability and yield variation of different indica rices, at seedling, booting and full heading stage, better offspring (MR, ME, MI, ML) cultivated by Ankang Institute of Agricaltural Sciences were sprayed with selenium fertilizer mixed in different concentration. The results showed that the selenium of four indica rices had rapid growth with the increase of selenium concentration, but then there was a mitigation trend. Under selenium treatment, the selenium ability was as follows: ML>MR>ME>MI. Yield increased continuously with the augment in selenium concentration. However, the yield declined along with too high selenium concentration. Under the optimal selenium concentration, the yield of indica rices was as follow: MR>ML>MI>ME. Therefore, the selenium ability of MR and ML, which could be the focus for the subsequent breeding, were better materials than MI and ME.
