Abstract:The geochemical lability of trace elements in soil is an important index for its quality evaluation and environmental risk assessment. Although there are many existing analytical methods, it is not applicable to all types of soils due to technical limitations, thus, the standards are not unified and there is a lack of reference for scientific research work. The isotopic dilution technique for solid/liquid exchange process disturbance is tiny, therefore, it has been considered by more and more researchers in recent years as one of the most effective and appropriate methods to quantify the geochemical lability of soil trace elements. Combined with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, the method quantifies the labile pool of trace elements in soil by introducing E-value as the isotope exchangeable pool of trace elements during redistribution. The obtained results can not only evaluate the bioavailability of trace elements, but also provide more abundant information for soil environmental quality evaluation. This paper mainly introduced the principle, method development and research process of isotope dilution technique in analysing trace element lability.
